The dreaded smell when you take off your shoe after a long, sweaty, wet day is quite disgusting. Your foot, having more than 250,000 sweat glands which mixes in an environment of nearly no breathing room makes havoc for terrible shoe odor.
Today, I’m going to teach you an easy, simple, and quick way to freshen up those smelly shoes. All you need is:
- Smelly shoes
- A Bag
- Freezer (and permission to use it)
Step 1. Find those smelly shoes. Find them and put them in a bag that can be tied up
Step 2. Tie up the bag and put it in the freezer. Tie it up so that the contents of the shoe inside the bag
(Fun fact: It’s better to keep the freezer full of stuff since all the items will help freeze others, whereas a refrigerator needs open space for the cold air to circulate)
Step 3. Let the shoe freeze for 2+ hours, depending on smelliness on shoe (2+ slightly smelly, 3-4 hours smelly, half a day for very smelly)
Step 4. Take out and enjoy the smell!
How does it work? Since bacteria is calling the smell, putting them in an environment below 0 will kill hem. This is better than those scents that you spray since it kills the bacteria rather than mask it. Science!
